“LIGHT UP YOUR HOME and LIGHT UP YOUR LIFE”
The Sister to Sister Candle Lighting Initiative was created to address the 4 out of 5 non-orthodox homes in the U.S. that are not regular Shabbat candle lighters (PEW Research). The FREE candle lighting kit includes: Shabbat candle holders, a year’s worth of Shabbat candles, matches, and a blessing card. More importantly, this initiative pairs up regular candle lighters with not-yet-regular candle lighters in an on-going, Sister to Sister support relationship.
Denver, Las Vegas, Palo Alto, Monsey, and Memphis have all adopted the Phoenix Sister to Sister Candle Lighting Initiative and have all started their own Sister to Sister communities.
